How did that line in that song go? "...Everyone is so untrue..." And yes, people tend to lie more often as they grow older. We probably just go immune to being true...in doing the "right" thing. Well that, or we just choose to be bad. Coz "bad" these days seems to be a cool thing. Damn media...robbing us of our purity, but that's probably for a different blog entry.
I guess I myself is indeed guilty of such lies. I won't be a hypocrite with this...of course I lie. It's natural, especially with our society. But what ticks me off really is that kind of lie that people commit when they say they're going to do something but then decides not to. Yeah it may seem pretty shallow, but it's really frustrating if people does it you a lot.
I don't mind that you'd say that you would go with me to this party and not go, but I would really appreciate it if you would tell me right away. Not when it's already 2am! Or me finding out that you're fuckin asleep from someone else! I mean that is just wrong...selfish in a way even. C'mon, don't tell me that you couldn't see yourself falling asleep? Unless you're wasted...well that's excused. Or looked at your watch, see that's it's too late to even attempt to make it, and still genuinely think that you can go? At least have the decency to tell me...c'mon! One fuckin text message...hell I was even calling all damn night. Geez...
I've realized that one can't really expect people to do things the way you do...it's probably too much to expect them to do the right thing! Is it really that damn hard? It's just one text message away...hard? Really?
Okay okay...that's maybe too much for a party invite. But what I'm getting at here is pretty much of the same idea. It sucks that people have the choice of simply not doing anything about the situation...at the expense of another. It's sad how one person can somewhat suffer while the other just goes about the day...or night...without any care. And it's often times the people you count on or trust that can do these things to you. And sometimes it does hurt more because you expect them to be different. But of course they're NOT.
